1500hp Koenigsegg Regera Struggles To Move Ahead On A Icy Slope

A 1500 hp Koenigsegg may not be the right tool for your commute on a cold winter morning. This was recently demonstrated by a Regera driver, who was seen struggling to negotiate an icy slope.

The following video has been doing the rounds of social media since last week. It shows a Koenigsegg Regera stuck on an icy stretch of highway. The hypercar sat spinning its rear wheels due to the lack of grip while other vehicles went past.

It seems the Regera lost momentum just as it approached the incline. Perhaps it was not equipped with snow tires, which may have further complicated the situation. Clearly, 1500 hp is useless if you don’t have the right tires to grab onto the tarmac.

Finally, with some assistance, the Regera got moving. The whole ordeal was captured by Dean Kearney, from his Dodge Viper.
