The worldwide debut of the Pagani Utopia occurred in September of this year. Following the Zonda and Huayra, the Utopia represents the third model in the brand’s collection. One of the most noteworthy aspects of this vehicle is its availability with a traditional manual transmission.
In the present era, a traditional manual gearbox has become somewhat rare. Hence, when Pagani introduced the option of a manual transmission for their latest hypercar, customers were promptly attracted to the idea. It was hardly surprising that all units of the Utopia were claimed even before its official unveiling. Christopher Pagani, the marketing chief and son of Horacio Pagani, disclosed that over 60% of clientele selected the manual transmission.
Under the hood of the Pagani Utopia lies a 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 engine engineered by Mercedes-AMG. This powerplant generates 864 hp @ 6000 rpm and 811 lb-ft of torque @ 2800-5900 rpm. Consumers also have the option of a 7-speed sequential transmission, while Christopher mentioned that individuals will have the chance to experience a test drive with the manual gearbox before finalizing their configuration.
