The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 boasts the most potent naturally aspirated motor in a production car. This 5.5-liter V8 generates 670 HP and 460 lb-ft of torque. Nevertheless, this model has encountered multiple instances of motor complications. Now, one more Corvette Z06 has experienced a motor failure immediately after its break-in period.
The motor malfunction occurred after only 621 miles on the odometer. For a vehicle with such low mileage, the owner would undoubtedly be disheartened by this predicament. Notably, Youtuber steelankles captured the entire incident on camera.
Nevertheless, credit to Chevrolet for promptly addressing the issue with the car. The company replaced the motor with a brand-new one within just two weeks.
Chevrolet has completed numerous deliveries to customers, and it is disheartening and discouraging when your car’s motor fails, especially at such low mileage. The silver lining is that these failures have been uncommon, and Chevy is taking swift action to address them.
The exact cause has not yet been disclosed, but the owner has hypothesized that it could be a rotated rod bearing.
