Aston Martin has released the first teaser of the DB11 successor. The brand’s next-generation front-engine sports car is expected to be called DB12.
The teaser image doesn’t reveal much. It just shows the silhouette of the car covered under the Union Jack. However, a prototype of the DB11 successor has already been spotted out in the wild. The car was recently seen in Sweden undergoing cold weather testing.

The spy images suggest that the DB12 will be more of an evolution of the Aston Martin DB11. The car is expected to get a redesigned front end with reprofiled LED headlamps and a larger front grille, while the rear looks identical to the outgoing model.

The DB11 successor is likely to feature several updates under the skin. While Aston hasn’t confirmed any details yet, it might get slightly retuned engines. At present, the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 develops 528 hp and 513 lb-ft of torque, and is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The DB11 is also available with a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 that packs 630 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque.
