Bruno Senna Operates The McLaren Solus GT at Silverstone

Recently, the nephew of the late Ayrton Senna and former Formula 1 driver, Bruno Senna, had the chance to operate a McLaren Solus GT. He took a single-seater for a lap around Silverstone.

The Solus GT had its first dynamic appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed last month. It was created as a million-dollar track plaything with a carbon fibre monocoque. Its design was influenced by the Vision GT and is said to create 2645 lbs of downforce, which is more than the car’s weight of 2205 lbs.

The Solus GT features a 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine that revs up to 10,000 rpm and yields 829 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. It is coupled with a 7-speed sequential gearbox with straight-cut gears and a carbon fibre clutch.
