Bugatti has at last unveiled the initial teaser for the forthcoming Chiron Roadster. The upcoming customized model is set to be introduced at the Quail on August 19, 2022.
The brief video shared by Bugatti provides a peek at the new hypercar’s headlight configuration. It seems to showcase a vertically aligned structure akin to the Bugatti Divo, featuring horizontal LED components.
The novel model will mark the primary convertible design built on the Chiron platform. It might include a curved windshield and a detachable top. Nonetheless, scant details are available about the ultimate design.
Based on insider information, reports indicate that the car’s maximum velocity will be restricted to 155 mph when the roof is attached. Conversely, without the roof, it could achieve a speed of 261 mph, establishing it as among the swiftest open-top hypercars ever produced.
The Chiron Roadster is purportedly one of Bugatti’s final releases to showcase the 8.0-liter W16 powerplant. Additionally, it will become the third variation to incorporate the potent ‘Thor’ engine delivering 1600 hp.
