Back in 2002, there was the establishment of quattro GmbH, later transformed into Audi Sport GmbH. Two decades ago, they crafted a remarkable piece – the Audi RS6, built on the C5 platform, a high-performance vehicle in the upper mid-tier segment. Serving as the successor to the Audi RS4, the skilled Audi engineers from quattro GmbH dedicated significant effort towards transforming the A6 into a sports car. This involved not only adjusting the engine, suspension, and transmission but also elevating its appearance to a more sophisticated level.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle expanded by four centimeters (1.6 in) in both length and width, integrating new skirts, broader sills, a spoiler for the Avant variant, and a distinct breakaway edge for the Sedan model. Moreover, it boasted 18” or 19” wheels, along with two oval exhaust pipes that accentuated its athletic aspirations. This marked the beginning of a twenty-year expedition across various generations.
