Celebrating its 50th anniversary, BMW M GmbH introduces the new BMW M4 CSL, blending traditional racing passion with cutting-edge technology to deliver an unparalleled performance. With a power boost of 40hp compared to the current BMW M4 Competition Coupe, reaching 550hp, and a range of precise weight-saving techniques, this model sets a new standard.
The M Mode button allows for customizing the responses of different systems, offering not just ROAD and SPORT modes, but also a TRACK mode. When in SPORT mode, the instrument cluster and Head-Up Display switch to M View, showcasing only essential information for spirited driving like an M-specific rev dial, Shift Lights, digital speed display, and gear indicator. Additional data on coolant temperature, charge pressure, tire status, and lateral and longitudinal acceleration can be shown on the edges of the instrument cluster.
Switching to TRACK mode involves a long press on the M Mode button followed by confirmation using the iDrive Controller. This mode disables all comfort and safety features of the driver assistance systems, turns off non-essential displays to maintain focus, while the instrument cluster and Head-Up Display also switch to M View, removing road sign notifications.
