BMW has showcased the “most exceptional special model” in the M division’s history – the 3.0 CSL.
This exclusive model, inspired by the original Coupe Sport Lightweight (CSL) from 1970, is based on the 3.0 CSL Hommage concept, which is clearly evident in the car’s design.
The 3.0 CSL showcases a redesigned frontal kidney grille and bumper with circular intake ducts on both sides. The vehicle includes broader fenders, elongated door sills, and a distinctive rear end with an integrated fixed spoiler.
Under the hood, the 3.0 CSL utilizes a 3.0-liter twin-turbo 6-cylinder engine. It has been fine-tuned to generate 553 horsepower and 550 lb-ft of torque, marking it as the most potent inline-6 engine ever produced by BMW. It will be available exclusively with a 6-speed manual gearbox, transmitting power to the rear axle through an M differential. The braking is managed by standard carbon ceramics.
