In the Czech Republic, a scarce Ferrari 458 Speciale Aperta has been involved in a crash. Photographs of the wrecked hypercar were posted by @supercar.fails, although the precise date of the incident remains unknown.
Upon reviewing these visuals, it seems as though the driver may have struggled to maintain control and collided with a pole at the side of the road. The harm appears to be mostly cosmetic. Aside from some minor scratches on the driver’s side, the front fender and bumper will require replacement. Additionally, there are a few dings on the 5-spoke rims.
Furthermore, the intensity of the collision was adequate to trigger both airbags, which will need to be replaced. As one of just 499 vehicles, the repair costs for this Speciale Aperta are likely to be quite high.
The 458 Special Aperta is among the most desirable models. A well-maintained version is valued at around $1 million presently. At its core, it boasts a 4.5-liter V8 generating 597 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque. This model represents Ferrari’s final naturally-aspirated V8, adding to its uniqueness.
