It is expected that the production of the Ford GT supercar will be concluded later this year. As a farewell tribute to this legendary model, the manufacturer has revealed a unique edition dubbed the Ford GT LM.
The Ford GT LM pays homage to the car’s victory at the 2016 Le Mans 24 Hours. It exhibits a Liquid Silver exterior hue adorned with blue accents resembling those on the no. 68 Ford GT that achieved top recognition in its category in 2016. Furthermore, the front splitter, door sills, engine bay louvers, rear diffuser, and mirror stalks are customizable in either red or blue carbon fiber.
Internally, the Ford GT LM is equipped with carbon bucket seats featuring Alcantara upholstery. The driver’s seat can be selected in either red or blue. Each vehicle will include a distinctive ‘GT LM’ emblem crafted from the reprocessed crankshaft of the 2016 Ford GT Le Mans race car that secured third place.
Ford has yet to disclose the price for the GT LM special edition. Nonetheless, it is expected to command a premium over the base price of $450,000. Production will be limited to just 20 units.
