Back in February, it was unveiled that Bentley was set to introduce an exclusive model later this year. This has now been officially confirmed as the carmaker has just released the initial sneak peek of the upcoming Bentley Mulliner Batur. The grand reveal of the car is scheduled for August 21, 2022.
The Batur marks Bentley’s second collaborative model with the renowned coachbuilder. Insider reports suggest that in contrast to the convertible Bacalar, the new release will be a coupe variant. It will serve as a sneak peek into Bentley’s forthcoming lineup of electric vehicles.
Notably, the Batur is set to be the final Bentley model to be propelled by the W12 engine. Presently, this 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged powerhouse delivers 650 horsepower and 667 lb-ft of torque, coupled with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. While detailed specifications of the W12 engine in the Batur remain ambiguous, it is anticipated to mirror the current configuration.
Sources hint that the production of the Bentley Mulliner Batur will be restricted to just 25 units. Rumors suggest that the car may fetch a price tag of around £2.5 million.
