More Than 60% Of Pagani Utopia Customers Chose The Manual Gearbox

The Pagani Utopia made its global debut in September this year. The Utopia is the third model in the brand’s line-up, after the Zonda and Huayra. The biggest talking point about this car is the fact that it’s available with a manual gearbox.

As you’re aware, a proper old-school manual transmission has become a bit of a novelty these days. So, when Pagani announced that their next hypercar would come with an optional stick shift, clients were quick to get their names on the order list. It’s no surprise that the Utopia was sold out even before its public debut. Horacio’s son and the company’s head of marketing Christopher Pagani, has now revealed that more than 60% of customers have opted for the manual.

At the heart of the Pagani Utopia is a 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 engine developed by Mercedes-AMG. It produces 864 hp @ 6000 rpm and 811 lb-ft of torque @ 2800-5900 rpm. Customers also get the option of a 7-speed sequential gearbox, and according to Christopher, clients will be able to test drive the manual before locking in their spec.
