Passione Engadina in the beautiful St. Moritz is renowned as one of the planet’s most prestigious motoring gatherings. It was not unexpected that their 2022 event paid homage to the accomplishments of Bugatti with a distinctive ‘Pavillon Bugatti’ that exhibited a grand total of 13 exceptionally rare and extremely remarkable models right in the core of St. Moritz. A striking array of Bugatti cars graced the Julius Baer rally, escorting these invaluable automotive treasures through mountainous routes and across the alpine passes of Bernina, Umbrail, and Fuorn, offering an unparalleled experience.
Borne in 1992, Passione Engadina has now reached its 11th edition of this incomparable gathering, focusing on classic cars crafted until 1992. The 2022 event narrated Ettore’s adventure and the Bugatti brand’s transformation through a unique showcase positioned just outside the distinguished Kulm Hotel in St. Moritz. The ‘Pavillon Bugatti’ unveiled 13 vehicles, starting from the Type 1 Prinetti Stucchi – a motorized tricycle acknowledged as Ettore Bugatti’s inaugural project – to the track-only Bolide hyper sports car, slated for delivery to clients in 2024. Ettore Bugatti’s legacy continues to be honored today, resonating with his famous quote: “If comparable, it is no longer Bugatti.”
