Rimac Nevera Achieves New Production EV Lap Record At Nurburgring

The Rimac Nevera has achieved a new lap record at the Nurburgring Nordschleife for a production electric vehicle (EV). It completed a lap of the 20.8 km long racetrack in 7 minutes and 5.298 seconds, surpassing the previous record set by the Tesla Model S Plaid Track Pack.

The record was set by Croatian racing driver Martin Kodrić on a hot and sunny day. Although the weather conditions affected the performance, with cooler temperatures, the Nevera could have achieved a sub-7 minute lap time.

The Rimac Nevera is equipped with four electric motors, producing a combined output of 1914 horsepower and 1741 lb-ft of torque. In a recent test conducted at the Automotive Testing Papenburg (ATP) facility, the Nevera recorded a 0-60 mph time of 1.74 seconds and also achieved a new 0-249 mph-0 record.
