Rimac Nevera Attains Fresh Production Electric Vehicle (EV) Track Record At Nurburgring

A new lap record at the Nurburgring Nordschleife for a production EV has been set by the Rimac Nevera. The racetrack, which is 20.8 km long, was completed by the vehicle in 7 minutes and 5.298 seconds, surpassing the previous record established by the Tesla Model S Plaid Track Pack.

On a hot and sunny day, Croatian racing driver Martin Kodrić set the record. Although the performance was affected by the weather conditions, it is believed that with cooler temperatures, the Nevera could have achieved a sub-7 minute lap time.

The Rimac Nevera is equipped with four electric motors, generating a combined output of 1914 horsepower and 1741 lb-ft of torque. In a recent test conducted at the Automotive Testing Papenburg (ATP) facility, the Nevera recorded a 0-60 mph time of 1.74 seconds and also achieved a new 0-249 mph-0 record.
