The Nevera is powered by four electric motors with a combined output of 1914 horsepower and 1696 lb-ft of torque. Rimac claims it can accelerate from 0-60 mph in under 2.4 seconds. Earlier, the company had stated that the electric hypercar was capable of reaching 258 mph, which has now been proven.

Rimac also owns Bugatti, a brand known for its 300 mph hypercars. While developing a quad-turbo W16 engine that can propel a car to such dizzying speeds is a challenge in itself, replicating the same in an electric car, is no mean feat. Just imagine the stresses on the electric motors and the cooling systems required to manage the heat generated.
With this top speed record, the Nevera has proven that electric vehicles can hold a candle to Bugattis and Koenigseggs when it comes to sheer performance.
