The team at Sport Auto is back at Hockenheim with an EU-spec Chevrolet Corvette Z06 this time.
Uwe Sener takes the Z06 for a swift lap around the race track in the following video. The viewers can accompany him and observe Sener’s adept maneuvering of the car through the tight and winding segments.
The Corvette Z06 evidently appears comfortable on the race track. Excluding a few moments of oversteer, the car maintains stability throughout the lap. Furthermore, the car displays sharp turn-in capabilities.
Furthermore, the accompanying soundtrack is produced by the 5.5-liter V8 engine situated in the middle. The noise it produces is fairly different from what is typical of a Corvette. It delivers 636 hp and 439 lb-ft of torque, slightly less than the US-spec Z06. Consequently, the European model achieves a 0-60 mph time that is one second slower.
Ultimately, the Corvette Z06 completes a lap of Hockenheim in 1 min 49.1 seconds.
