Aston Martin has introduced the initial glimpse of the forthcoming DB11 successor. The next-generation front-engine sports car from the brand is anticipated to be named as DB12.
The teased picture doesn’t disclose much. It merely displays the outline of the vehicle concealed under the Union Jack. Nevertheless, a prototype of the DB11 successor has been already sighted out in the wilderness. The automobile was recently witnessed in Sweden undergoing cold weather testing.

The spy images point to the likelihood that the DB12 will represent more of a progression from the Aston Martin DB11. The vehicle is expected to receive a revamped front section with reshaped LED headlamps and a bigger front grille, while the rear part mirrors the outgoing model.

The upcoming DB11 successor is anticipated to incorporate several updates beneath the surface. Although Aston hasn’t officially affirmed any specifics yet, it may receive slightly adjusted engines. At present, the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 generates 528 hp and 513 lb-ft of torque, and is coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The DB11 is also obtainable with a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 that delivers 630 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque.
