The iconic tale of Bugatti is not only about excellence in art and sophistication but also about remarkable engineering and remarkable performance. These flawless principles serve as the firm foundations for every Bugatti model, starting from the innovative Type 10 to the 2022 W16 Mistral ultimate roadster. Therefore, the recent showcase at September’s Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille near Paris was the ideal setting to reveal some of Bugatti’s most coveted creations.
Bugatti has been actively involved in supporting the Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille since its inception in 2014. The event is held in the vicinity of the magnificent Château de Chantilly. Situated 45 km (28 miles) north of Paris, the Château is considered one of the most exquisite treasures in France’s cultural legacy. Each year, the extraordinary gathering celebrates the finest aspects of life, featuring exquisite offerings from the realms of automobiles, art, luxury, fine dining, and high-end fashion. Taking place from the 23rd to the 25th of September, the Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille drew a crowd of approximately 16,000 visitors.
In line with tradition, three prestigious automotive contests for vehicles of outstanding pedigree and quality – the Concours d’Elegance, the Concours d’Etat, and Grand Prix des Clubs – were conducted during the event, with Bugatti making a strong presence in each segment. Bugatti chose the Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille as the stage for introducing the mesmerizing Mistral W16 to Europe, and also participated with this ultimate roadster in the Sunday Chantilly Concours d’Elegance. Named after a unique wind that signals the arrival of new seasons in southern France, the incredibly powerful 1,600 PS W16 quad-turbo Bugatti Mistral offers unparalleled liberty and remarkable sophistication, embodying nothing short of the ultimate roadster.
