The ultimate Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae Roadster has emerged from the Sant’Agata factory in Italy. This signifies the conclusion of the manufacturing of the renowned Aventador series, accompanied by the discontinuation of the non-hybrid naturally aspirated V12 engine.
In 2011, Lamborghini unveiled the Aventador. Over the years, there have been 8 variations of this supercar and more than 10 exclusive and limited editions. Throughout this timeframe, the brand managed to sell 11,465 units of the Aventador. The Ultimae, the final iteration, was introduced last year.
The Ultimae saw the creation of 350 coupes and 250 roadsters by Lamborghini. These models are equipped with an enhanced version of the 6.5-liter V12 generating 780 hp and 531 lb-ft of torque. The most recent Ultimae Roadster that rolled off the assembly line flaunts a distinctive light blue exterior designed specifically for the Swiss market.
An intriguing fact is that Lamborghini has sold more Aventadors than the total sales of all its previous V12 models combined. The predecessor, the Murcielago, had a relatively short production run of 5,000 units.
