The launch timeline for the Urus EV has been revealed by Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann. He made this announcement during the Aventador successor’s preview event.
Winkelmann affirmed that the next-generation Urus is going to be an all-electric SUV. This implies that the succeeding Urus Hybrid will mark the final phase of Lamborghini’s flagship SUV utilizing the twin-turbo V8 engine.
The Urus PHEV is set to make its debut next year and is anticipated to be equipped with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 paired with an electric motor that offers a combined output of around 820 hp. This is the same powertrain used in the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, albeit in a lower tune.
Lamborghini also unveiled details about the replacement for the Huracan. The successor to the Huracan is expected to be equipped with a twin-turbo V8 hybrid and will be introduced in 2024.
