During this festive period, players of Gran Turismo 7 will have the opportunity to experience driving a Ferrari Vision GT concept on their preferred virtual racecourse.
As anticipated, Maranello’s interpretation of a Vision GT supercar is daring and radical. The single-seat concept features a stylish canopy at the top, and a front end that sits low with a precise sharpness. The large hexagonal intake at the front splitter likely directs airflow to the underbody.
The rear of the Ferrari Vision GT bears resemblance to a contemporary take on classic Le Mans racing cars, particularly with the flat rear spoiler. Noticeable ducts flank the cabin on either side, and the wheels enclosed in fenders evoke memories of vehicles from the film ‘Tron’.
Initially, we were anticipating Ferrari’s avant-garde supercar to be propelled by a roaring V12 engine. Instead, this virtual supercar is outfitted with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 hybrid powerplant that produces 1030 hp @ 9000 rpm and 664 lb-ft of torque @ 5500 rpm. The engine is coupled with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission.
It is reported that the car weighs 1250 kg, and Ferrari proclaims that it can accelerate from 0-60 mph in less than 2 seconds and attain a top speed exceeding 217 mph. According to the manufacturer, the Vision GT is capable of completing a lap around the Fiorano test track in less than 1 minute and 10 seconds.
