Revealed by Hennessey Performance, the curtain has been lifted on the Venom F5 Roadster. Through their Instagram page, the Texas-based tuner shared a sneak peek with a couple of images, but their official unveiling is scheduled for August 19.
This Roadster model will feature the same carbon tub and is expected to have a detachable roof. The overall design of the car seems to have remained largely unchanged. The rear end closely resembles that of the coupe variant, adorned with the familiar horseshoe-shaped LED taillights.
Powering the Venom F5 Roadster will be the identical 6.6-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 engine. Generating 1817 hp @ 8000 rpm and 1,193 lb-ft @ 5000 rpm, it will be mated to a semi-automatic single-clutch transmission.
Insider information suggests that the production quantity of the Roadster will be fewer than that of the coupe, with a slightly higher price tag. Stay tuned for more detailed updates in the days ahead.
