Equipped with four electric motors producing a combined 1914 horsepower and 1696 lb-ft of torque, the Nevera from Rimac is said to be capable of accelerating from 0-60 mph in less than 2.4 seconds. Prior to this, the company had claimed that the electric hypercar could reach 258 mph, a claim that has now been verified.

Rimac is also the owner of Bugatti, a brand recognized for its 300 mph hypercars. While the creation of a quad-turbo W16 engine that can thrust a car to such incredulous velocities is a challenge in its own right, replicating the same in an electric car presents a substantial achievement. The strains on the electric motors and the requisite cooling systems to manage the generated heat are beyond imagination.
By setting this top speed record, the Nevera has demonstrated that electric vehicles can compete with Bugattis and Koenigseggs in terms of sheer performance.
