Is the globe prepared for a Ford Mustang Raptor with all-wheel drive?

The surge in popularity of all-wheel-drive sports cars with off-road capabilities is hard to ignore. Porsche introduced the 911 Dakar, and soon after, Lamborghini revealed the Huracan Sterrato.

Rumors are currently circulating about Ford’s evaluation of a similar concept based on the Mustang. Speculations indicate that a Ford Mustang Raptor may be in the pipeline.

It’s been suggested that the Mustang Raptor is likely to share its foundations with the upcoming S650 Mustang. The vehicle is anticipated to be propelled by a 5.0-liter V8 generating 500 hp, which will be distributed to all four wheels through a 10-speed automatic transmission and an electronically controlled central differential.

And the excitement doesn’t end there. Reports also imply that an even more potent variant named the Mustang Raptor R, equipped with a 700 hp 5.2-liter supercharged V8, could become a reality.

If Ford proceeds with the plan to manufacture an all-wheel drive version of the Mustang, it may become available at dealerships around 2026.

It’s evident that there is a market for lifted sports cars, as evidenced by the examples set by Porsche and Lamborghini. Nevertheless, would you consider purchasing a Mustang tailored for off-road adventures? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below.
