Lucid Air Sapphire Sets New Quarter-Mile Record Time For Electric Sedans

The remarkable performance of Lucid Air Sapphire in conquering the quarter-mile challenge is a testament to its exceptional capabilities, positioning it as a formidable competitor to the Tesla Model S Plaid. A recent video shared by DragTimes showcases this electric sedan completing the quarter mile in an impressive time of 8.930 seconds, solidifying its status as the fastest production sedan on a global scale.

Under optimal dragstrip conditions, the Lucid Air Sapphire achieved a remarkable speed of 154 mph as it crossed the finish line.

In addition to its outstanding quarter-mile performance, the Lucid Air EV displayed remarkable agility by achieving an impressive 0-60 mph time. The sedan’s immediate torque, combined with exceptional traction on the prepared racing surface, enabled it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in a staggering 1.77 seconds.

Behind the wheel for this exceptional accomplishment was Brooks, who experienced acceleration forces of 1.5 G, firmly pushing him into his seat.
